Bio| Axl’s just you average guy from the 20th century. He grew up in London’s East End. It wasn’t exactly a peaceful neighborhood, but Axl managed to fight his way to the top of the various gangs in the area. Why? So he could keep the peace. Gee, what a nice guy. Except he’s got one teensy little problem: He keeps slipping through time. Somehow he found himself a good 200 years into the future with no way to get back. Oopsie. This is, obviously, not a good thing, and Axl wants very much to get back to his own time period – most notably to his girlfriend, Megumi. Somewhere during his little field trip into the future, he heard about a fighting tournament, the winner of which would get a wish granted. As it turned out, whoever told him this was a big fat liar, because that wasn’t the case at all. Boo, all that work for nothing. After the tournament, though, he declares that he’s going to stop actively looking for a way home. Instead, he decides to figure out why the heck he keeps slipping through time. (And he’ll look for a way home on the side. XD) He sought out the famed Doctor Faust in hopes of being cured. After fighting his way to the good doctor (because, hey, this is a fighting game) he’s diagnosed oh-so-usefully with “involuntary timeslipping”. Well, isn’t that helpful. Faust does tell him that his… uh… affliction may be because there’s an alternate version of Axl in existence. Also helpful. You know, except not really. And then one day, while wandering through the future in search of a hot chick who won’t beat him up (he apparently does this a lot, despite him having a girlfriend) Axl met I-No. I-No, unfortunately, was a hot chick who wanted to beat him up. The fight with I-No set off a series of fights with a man by the name of Sol Badguy, whom Axl apparently knows and is very chummy with… somehow. Probably via pime taradox, since Axl seems to be one. Axl fights Sol, and somehow Axl keeps getting pushed back in time and has to fight Sol again. And again. Axl surmises that the power of Sol’s attacks meeting with his own is what causes it. After he comes to this brilliant conclusion, he discovers Sol isn’t around to punch him 200 years into the past. From there, he meets a cast of interesting characters. One of which is That Man. No really, that’s what they call him. It’s got capital letters and everything. That Man tells Axl there is indeed an alternate him running around. His name is Raven… aaaaaand that’s all we know! Axl also meets Zappa – who is a freak possessed by an even freakier ghost. There’s some speculation that this is the spirit of Axl’s girlfriend, Megumi, but Axl doesn’t really indicate if this is true or not. He just pretty much thinks it sucks to be a freak possessed by a freaky ghost. Lastly, but not leastly, Axl meets… Axl! He came back in time to talk to himself, apparently. As I said, Axl = pime taradox. He then fights himself. As any rational person in a fighting game would, I’m sure. After which, future!Axl tells not!future!Axl not to give up, and if he keeps fighting he’ll find his happy ending. People must really like being vague in this game. Shortly thereafter, Axl was wandering around continuing his search for a hot chick who won’t kill him when poof island! As for his personality, Axl… is a big dweeb and a huge flirt. XD If he’s not trying to score with the sexy ladies of the future (though I’m not sure how he’d react if one of them took him up on that instead of beating him up \o_O/), he’s whining about his bad luck – with both the ladies, and the fact he’s always getting into fights. Generally, though, he’s very laid-back and cheerful despite his situation. He’s always smiling and… being dweeb-like. He has rare moments of emo when he’s thinking about Megumi, but they don’t seem to last long. In short, he’s adorkable. He’s also a very skilled fighter, obviously. His weapon of choice is a modified Kasurigama – it has a blade at each end of the chain, rather than a blade and a weight at either end. He also can use fire magic. HOW OR WHY WE DO NOT KNOW. But most of his special attacks involve flames of DOOM. Faito, Axl. |
